Diamond D Ranch and Cross Hairs Long Range Shooting School’s Mike Perkins have partnered to provide a shooting experience like no other. Students will be exclusive guests at the Diamond D Ranch in the Frank Church Wilderness Area and will have the opportunity to learn from one of the best: Mike Perkins, sniper and sniper instructor with over three decades of experience. Mike has developed a class for hunters that will provide them with the tools and skills to shoot better so they can ethically take game at longer ranges and make clean, one-shot kills.

  • 2 Days of shooting and 3 Nights stay at the exclusive Diamond D Ranch in Idaho

  • Learn fundamentals and principals required for long range shooting

  • Learn how to read and compensate for environmental conditions, including wind

  • Shoot from realistic shooting positions, including extreme angles, all in true hunting setting

  • Engage steel targets from 100 to 1000+ yards for the Hunting Class

  • Engage steel targets out to 2000+ yards for the Extended Long Range (ELR) Class

  • Tuition includes 3 nights stay, all meals and ranch amenities.

2024 Class Schedule:

  • May 31 – June 1: Hunting Class (max enrollment 14) – Targets out to 1000+ yards

  • June 3 – June 4: Hunting Class (max enrollment 14) – Targets out to 1000+ yards

  • June 6 – June 7: ELR Class (max enrollment 12) – Targets out to 2000+ yards

  • Sept 6 – Sept 7: Hunting Class (max enrollment 14) – Targets out to 1000+ yards

    ** Plan on arriving afternoon or evening prior to day one of class and departing morning after second day of class. All classes are 2 days, with 3 nights stay.

  • Hunting Class Equipment: Rifle, Bipod/Shooting Sticks, Binoculars/Spotting Scope, Range Finder capable of 1000 yards, Shooting App and/or Kestrel with Ballistics Software, Round Count: 80 to 100

  • ELR Class Equipment: Rifle (recommend 300 Win Mag or larger), Bipod, Shooting Mat, Range Finder capable of 2000+ yards, Spotting Scope, Shooting App and/or Kestrel with Ballistics Software, Round Count: 60 to 80
