Diamond D Ranch and Cross Hairs Long Range Shooting School’s Mike Perkins have partnered to provide a shooting experience like no other.Students will be exclusive guests at the Diamond D Ranch in the Frank Church Wilderness Area and will have the opportunity to learn from one of the best: Mike Perkins, sniper and sniper instructor with over three decades of experience. Mike has developed a class for hunters that willprovide them with the tools and skills to shoot better so they can ethically take game at longer ranges and make clean, one-shot kills.

Learn fundamentals and advance topics of long-range shooting
Understand wind and environmental variables and compensation
For the hunting classes, shoot from realistic hunting positions, including extreme angles. Advanced class
will include more extensive use of reticle, reticle ranging, and engaging multiple (and smaller) targets with
a wee bit of time pressure thrown in.
Engage steel targets from 100–1000+ yards (Hunting and Advanced Hunting Classes)
Engage steel targets out to 2000+ yards (Extreme Long Range Class)
All meals, lodging, and ranch amenities included
2026 Class Schedule:
• Hunting Class: May 29 – May 30 (max enrollment 14) – Targets out to 1000+ yds
o Arrive May 28 / Depart May 31st
• Hunting Class Advanced: June 1 – June 2 (max enrollment 14) – Targets out to 1000+ yds
o Arrive May 31 / Depart June 3rd
• Extreme Long Range Class: June 4 – June 5 (max enrollment 12) – Targets out to 2000+ yds
o Arrive June 3 / Depart June 6
• Hunting Class Advanced: Sept 6 – Sept 7 (max enrollment 14) – Targets out to 1000+ yards
o Arrive Sept 5 / Depart Sept 8
** All classes are 2 days, with 3 nights stay.
Location and costs:
Where: Diamond D Ranch, Idaho, N 44° 32' 57.318" W 114° 51' 05.565" (approx. 4.5hrs from Boise)
Accommodations: Diamond D All-Inclusive (inquire about rates for additional, non-shooting guests)
$1650 per student ($825 deposit due at booking, remaining balance due 60 days prior to class)
Equipment Requirements:
Hunting Classes: Rifle, Bipod/Shooting Sticks, Binoculars/Spotting Scope, Range Finder (1000+ yards), Shooting App/Kestrel with Ballistics Software, 100+ rounds.
Extreme Long Range: Rifle (300 PRC / 300 Win Mag recommended), Bipod, Shooting Mat, Range Finder (2000+ yards), Spotting Scope, Shooting App/Kestrel with Ballistics Software, 80+ rounds.
